Stop. Play. ▟ ►

Ask me anything   My Last.FM

This blog is for music only, specifically of the rock or electronic genre.

You'll get music, videos, pictures, news, and anything else that relates to rock and electo music. Tell me if you wanna see something specific.

So what do you want to hear?

Anything with sounds based heavily on guitar or electronic instruments will pretty much meet the criteria.

These are the bands I've been listening to most recently, in order:

Red Hot Chili Peppers - ‘Give it Away’ live in Chile

Mainly for the background with all of their faces moving on a loop, loved that.

So how many of us saw RHCP play recently?

*puts hand up*

And how was it?

If you didn’t and you’re a fan, how have you taken to Josh? Because I loved him live.

What do you guys think of musicians who smash their instruments at gigs?

Is there even a point to it, at the end of the day, if it works perfectly fine?

Thoughts?

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS ARE PLAYING THE O2 ARENA IN LONDON, NOVEMBER 7TH, 9TH AND 10TH.
CLICK PHOTO FOR MORE INFO.
Tickets go on sale Friday 29th of July so you have a good couple of days before you can decide to go or not.
I’m hoping to go if I find someone to come along (or not, if I get desperate), been wanting to see them for years!

Moshpits/wall of death/circle pits/general crowd riot-like behaviour. Yay or nay?

Dangerous or harmless fun?

I’m a bit on the fence with this even though I usually choose not to get involved [mainly cause I am a weak motherfucker].

I guess it’s like boxing: you’re fully aware of what could happen but it’s all for fun.

I think it’s amazing that someone can get so so passionate about the music/their surroundings to go in a hardcore pit, because I know for a fact that I am usually too weak/scared for that shit. But people constantly get injured in these things…though they are aware of the risk that a rough crowd can cause.

Anyway, I’m someone who stares at a band while smiling like a dope if I’m seriously involved in the music, rather than going crazy. Even if it’s a metal band…! I get out of breath easily when I go too crazy and that does not hold up well in a moshpit!!

I’m not for or against mostpits, really…but other opinions would be cool. I think it’s just up to the person involved what they do: go mental or step back and let other people do it instead. It’s a free choice.
